In the realm of Deepwater Exploration, if there is a need for Well Intervention, there is a need for motion compensation. The D.I.M.E. is used to compensate for the vertical movement (due to tidal or wave action effects) of well intervention equipment with relation to the work platform on floating production facilities and/or MODU’s. The D.I.M.E. has many advantages over other alternatives with safety being the most obvious. Along with addressing the need for motion compensation on completion rigs where there is no other option, the reduced size and weight of the D.I.M.E. add to its increased safety over its competition during setup and use. Additional benefits include lower operating costs for the D.I.M.E. itself as well as shorter setup times which equate to lower overall project costs. When combined with it's 150K capacity, these savings can be very substantial.

The D.I.M.E. package includes a one lift skid which transports the control unit, accumulator and nitrogen bottles. The control unit works with Devin's Hydraulic Power Unit insuring the appropriate pressure is maintained at all times.
