Company Profile
DEVIN Rental Tools, Inc. was started in 1981 by Jim Moncus with our home office located in Lafayette Louisiana. DEVIN Rental Tools also has facilities in Houma Louisiana, Alice and Victoria Texas and sales support in Houston Texas. The company was opened primarily as a rental tool company specializing in casing support. As coiled tubing became a popular well servicing technology, DEVIN expanded its rental division to include coiled tubing support equipment. Expanding into coiled tubing support proved to be a wise direction, which opened international opportunities. Over the years DEVIN has built a large inventory of cross over subs, safety valves and inside Blowout Preventers. Today DEVIN is a wholly owned subsidiary of Greene's Energy Group LLC. and is a primary rental source for tools with premium thread connections such as Vam Ace and K-Fox, as well as standard threads like Ph-6, CS Hydril and 8 Round.

In the spring of 1993 DEVIN opened a fabrication division, Coil Tubing Manufacturing and Supply, Inc. CTMS started as support for DEVIN Rental Tools and fast became known as a source for quality products at a competitive price. CTSM began to grow and soon developed its own engineering and design group. Winter of 1994 and the spring of 1995 this group, with input from the coiled tubing community, developed the first Track Stack Modular Coiled Tubing Work Tower. This hydraulic work structure has become known around the world as a safe, economic way to accomplish even the most difficult of coiled tubing projects. Recently this tower design has been expanded to accommodate coiled tubing drilling and snubbing operations. With a few simple modifications it is presently being used as a quick transition between jointed pipe and coiled tubing operations. Minor alterations in the basic design of the Track Stack have allowed this structure to be a viable support structure no matter the job or terrain. With the inclusion of the Track Stack Jr., a duplicate structure to the original Track Stack, except on a smaller footprint and most recently the Mini Track. The Mini Track is a new evolution in the way coiled tubing operations are done on semi-submersibles, floaters and drill ships. This latest adaptation allows the coil unit to work inside a lift frame, while utilizing the motion compensator on the rig. With this technology other services, such as wireline, can be run without having to remove the injector head from the lift frame.

DEVIN's 60' Elevator bails are
some of the longest available
in the Gulf of Mexico.

Over the years DEVIN has built a reputation for providing their customers with the proper equipment to accomplish the objectives set out by the client. This desire to keep up with the industry's changing needs has made DEVIN a leader in difficult to find tools, such as elevator bails and coiled tubing lift frames. DEVIN Rental Tools also has one of the largest inventories of elevator bails available for the Gulf of Mexico. Bail lengths start at six foot, three hundred fifty ton (6’ - 350 Ton) to sixty foot, five hundred ton (60’ - 500 Ton), including sets of seven hundred fifty ton (750 Ton) and thousand ton (1000 Ton) of various lengths. It is believed the 60-foot, 500 Ton Bails are the longest available in the Gulf of Mexico.

In the past couple of years DEVIN Rental Tools began providing handling tools and other equipment required for deep-water projects. Included are 10-3/4' elevators for landing surface trees and Lift Frames designed to motion compensate the service equipment with the work string. DEVIN’s Lift Frames are unique to any found in the industry to date. These frames allow for extension of the ID of the work area, separate and remote control console for the 25 Ton Winch, the option of a 5' or 5-1/2' Bottle Neck Lift Sub, and the ability to articulate the frame, just to name a few differences. With the addition of these innovative rental items, DEVIN has made its mark on today’s modern oil and gas industry.

With DEVIN's role in the industry changing, and with the company broadening the regions of the world where their products were being used, it was felt that the company could be better portrayed by a name change. In 1997 DEVIN International, Inc. was formed with DEVIN Rental Tools and DEVIN Manufacturing as subsidiaries. In 2008 DEVIN International, Inc. became a wholly owned subsidiary of Greene's Energy Group LLC. The company is represented by:
